Fall is officially here and you know what that means- back to school, cooler weather, football season, and, our favorite, the holidays! With football watching parties and school events in full swing, and holiday parties just around the corner, we’ve put together a few of our favorite party planning secrets to help get you inspired and in the right frame of mind for the season. When it comes to planning a party, don’t forget to?Make an Invite List.Put together an invitation list so you don’t leave anyone out! Creating an invite list also allows you to get a feel for about how many people to expect and a rough idea of the amount of food, favors and party space you will need.Send Invitations Early. This time of year, social calendars have a tendency to fill-up fast! Send your invitations out at least three weeks early so guests can plan their schedules accordingly.Ask for R.S.V.P.s.It’s hard to prepare for a party when you don’t know how many guests to expect. When you send out invitations, ask for guests to R.S.V.P. by a certain date to allow yourself ample prep-time.Choose a Theme.Whether you want your guests to follow a certain theme with their attire or you want to give your party decor a cohesive theme, plan out the details ahead of time!Create a Pre-Planned Menu.Pre-plan your menu to allow for any necessary prep-work your recipes may require. Planning ahead also allows for time to order special items and grocery shop!Ask for Help.Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Let’s be honest, not many people can plan, prepare and host a party on their own! Ask friends to come early and stay late to help with prep and clean-up.Here are a few of our favorite party planning resources:Party Planning Checklist from Real SimpleFood, Drink & Decor Ideas from PinterestHow-To Prep for House Guests from Martha StewartParty Ideas and Tips from Rachael RayRecipes, Tips & Ideas from Kraft FoodsDo you host or attend any annual parties?
