Homebuilders and desginers from around the world have gathered in Las Vegas this week for the 2015 NAHB International Builders Showdisplaying the latest kitchen and bath trends as well as many other home innovations throughout the industry. A “CES conference”, but focused on the home, IBS 2015 showcased almost 1,200 exhibitors ranging from appliances to lighting and more. CB JENI Homes is also excited about some new kitchen and bath features breaking into the market this year.
Walls That Make A Statement
Textures and colors that pop are no longer a daring designer’s move. The use of subtle textures that make a statement, such as Ann Sack’s use of relais, are now an indispensable aspect of every new home’s design.
A Conservationist Approach
From micro-living to water conservation, space and quantity were subjects of conversation at this year’s IBS show. Brands like Kohler®showcased new finishes to their faucet line that focused on the conservation of water and Bosch featured a 24-inch electric cooktop and oven designed for those living in smaller spaces.
Bold Is The New Black
Appliances can also have personality now with Dacor Kitchen’s new line of customizable ovens. Orange, pink, blue, green—almost any color imaginable can be applied to your smart appliances. Cutler Kitchen and Bath also suggests you take a bolder step this year with their display of a modern red vanity at this year’s show.
A ventilation hood with flush-mounted lighting by Miele is only one of the examples we saw of this idea of integrated lighting. Not only must your food look fabulous as you’re cooking, but also an impressive display by Marvin Windows and Doors showcased the idea of integrating energy efficient lighting into window and door frames.
