Christmas Events in and around Argyle

Experience the historic Christmas story and traditions at these local events.

  • Denton Holiday Lighting Festival on Dec. 3 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Head to the county seat of Denton for music, holiday characters, kids activities, shopping and the tree lighting (of five trees spread around the area!) at 6 p.m. Bring a toy to donate to Elves Shelves for local families in need.
  • Breakfast in Bethlehem on Dec. 4 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Argyle United Methodist Church. Enjoy a pancake breakfast ($5 per person), walk-through nativity and more.
  • Annual Argyle Christmas Tree Lighting Festival on Dec. 4 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at Cross Timbers Church parking lot. Includes music, food, live nativity, Santa and more.

Flower Mound Holiday Events

Drive just 15 miles to nearby Flower Mound to take part in their holiday festivities.

  • 5th Annual Lakeside Holiday Event on Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. in the plaza in The Shops at Lakeside. Come enjoy free horse-drawn carriage rides, photos with Santa, live music, and the Christmas tree lighting at 7:30 p.m.
  • Reindeer Run 5K and Grinch Sprint on Dec. 4 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Bakersfield Park. Sign up in advance to participate!
  • Christmas Parade of Lights and Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Flower Mound Community Activity Center. Join the fun for this nighttime parade, Santa, food trucks, kids’ activities, and more.
  • Holiday Hoopla on Dec. 10 from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. at Bridlewood Golf Club. Includes lighted house tours, pictures with Santa, ornament-making workshop, and more. $25 per family. 
  • Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 11 from 8 to 9 a.m. and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Flower Mound Community Activity Multipurpose Rooms. Register in advance.
